Russ Woolery is a Managing Director of Overture Advisors, LLC. He is a finance strategist and corporate financier with 20 years of in-depth leadership and experience in identifying opportunities, capital sourcing, and operations management. With competencies that span both strategic and tactical planning, he’s been instrumental in building and leading cohesive teams to raise capital, manage cash flow, build commercial and investment banking relationships, negotiate credit agreements and business contracts, and mitigate financial risk in both domestic and international markets. As a consummate business executive, he is successful in partnering finance with operations to drive long-term gains in business performance, revenues, market share and bottom-line profits. He offers a breadth of knowledge in analyzing strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to develop strategy. Over 10,000 trades and $23B has been transacted during his 15 years in fixed income and he has a proven track record of working on behalf of buyers and sellers. In his capacity as Managing Director, Russ oversees the firm's mergers & acquisitions origination and execution efforts, strategic partnerships, relationships with executives and institutional investors, as well as guiding the firm's day-to-day operations and strategic direction. Presently, he is responsible for several active buy-side and sell-side engagements at Overture Advisors. Russ acquired much of the knowledge necessary to perform the Managing Director role throughout his previous career in investment and capital markets with leading firms. Throughout his tenure, Russ gained a wide range of capital markets experience and expertise at the institutional investor level. His clients have included several of the top hedge funds, money managers, insurance companies, government agencies and financial institutions where he originated and placed several billion in debt security transactions. Mr. Woolery’s prior professional roles were with Cantor Fitzgerald, in Texas as Vice President Capital Markets, FTN Financial, in Texas as Vice President Capital Markets, and Bear Stearns, in Texas as Vice President Capital Markets.
